The use of a checklist helps assure consistency.  Keep in mind that search engine optimization of your site is a process that requires endless efforts, time and money.  An average time required to optimize each page is 3.5 hours.  This may seem unreal to you when you first doing SEO.  However, when you have done it enough...day after day and years after years; you will find out this is true.
